Kelli and John visited for the weekend, and it was a miracle weekend.  Close to 80 degree weather came out of nowhere and helped to completely energize ourselves.

I Heart New Floors

The floor in the kitchen got a facelift a few weeks ago.  

Piece by peice, this room is quickly becoming my favorite.

Although any room with food is pretty cool with me.

In Like a Lamb

March in Richmond has been chilly, but we've also had a handful of warm spring-like days.  This has enticed the flowers in our yard to start blooming.  It makes me hopeful that spring really is just around the corner.  

It's been a treat seeing what plants and flowers we have in our yard.  When we moved in January, all we thought we had were pine trees, pine trees and more pine trees.  The forsythia has bloomed in the backyard, and right by our mailbox in the front yard.

I trimmed the bushes in hopes of more flowers next spring.  

Bear helped by chewing on the branches.

Something else is blooming on the side of the house.  I wonder what these could be?
